Katerina Anagnostidou is a Greek percussionist and performer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. After first receiving her classical percussion degree in Athens, she enrolled at The Royal Danish Academy of Music with professor Gert Mortensen, receiving her Master’s degree in 2017.

Katerina is an active soloist. She has competed in several international competitions, such as the ARD International Music Competition in Munich, and won a prize in PAS in Patras in the ‘advanced keyboards’ category in 2011. In 2012 she won the YAMAHA Foundation in Europe Music Competition in Greece. In 2018, she made a Danish premiere of Peter Klatzow’s marimba concerto with Aalborg Symphony Orchestra, and has also performed Danish premieres of Marcin Blazewicz’s marimba concerto and Komboi by Xenakis, as well as premiering numerous other works.

Katerina collaborates with various ensembles, specializing in new and contemporary music as well as early music, and has performed in countries such as Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Greece, Italy, Estonia and Iceland.

Katerina is also active as an orchestral musician and has played with the Royal Danish Orchestra as well as Copenhagen Philarmonic, and has been awarded the orchestral repertoire prize from the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, for most promising musician in 2016.
